Dragonfly Logo

A logo for my made-up video game company. I tried to keep it as light and simple as possible to compliment the nature of a dragonfly.

Spirit Magazine 2013

These are several pages from the Alumnus newsletter that Immaculate Conception High School publishes. I was asked for the second year in a row to work on it. The main goal was to bring plenty of color into the book, while keeping a very clean and eye catching design.

Spirit Magazine

These are several pages from the magazine that I was asked to work on for the high school that I graduated from. They were switching from a black and white newsletter, to a four color magazine. I tried to keep many of the elements from the old newsletter, while breathing fresh life into the design.

Remodo Room Design

Remodo is an interior design website with which the user can customize and design a room with real wallpaper and furniture. My job was to take the samples of furniture, wallpaper and flooring, and make each piece of the room. I tiled the flooring, and the wallpaper using Adobe Photoshop. I created the moulding based off of a photograph using Adobe Illustrator.

Magic the Gathering Tokens

This is a small project that I worked on for personal use. This is an Angel token for the game. The design is meant to look like a Seraphim with six wings. I was going for a very basic coin design, with a simple graphic and some text. The text I used is an Elvish font, and reads "Angel Creature with Flying, 4 Power 4 Toughness".

This is the "Heads" side of the token, which is the default position. The shield signifies that it is resting, or defending.

This is the "Tails" position of the token. This means that the angel is attacking, as signified by the shield being replaced by a sword.

Stuart and Cece Children's Book

This is a project that I have been working on for a while. It is a children's book called Stuart and Cece See the World. I used Adobe Illustrator to create the image, and worked in Photoshop to give each page a hand done aesthetic.

Era's End

Era's End is a concept for a video game that I created. It is a fighting game, and features characters from mythology, such as Aphrodite and the Lady of the Lake. This is the cover for the game. The art style was inspired by the game Okami, from Capcom, which draws from Japanese water color to create a 3-dimensional world that appears 2-dimensional at a distance. I also drew some inspiration from the game Street Fighter, also from Capcom, to create a wide range of characters that are all unique and interesting.

Most of the work was done with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, but it all started out as hand drawn images. Using Illustrator I was able to outline the characters. I used the pen tool to create the sweeping lines that describe the characters. Using Photoshop I created the background texture using several different filters to give it a grainy parchment look. I also used Photoshop to "paint" in the color on the characters, using multiple fill layers on different transparencies, in addition to the paintbrush and smudge tools.
These are the four characters in Era's End who are fighting for the good of the world.

This is Pan, the god of the wilderness from Greek mythology. He fights only to defeat Sekhmet, the Egyptian goddess of Destruction.

This is the Lady of the Lake from Arthurian legend, and she fights to bring about a new era of complete peace.

This is Aphrodite, the goddess of love from Greek mythology. She actually stole her lover's Ares' place to fight in Era's End to show him that she's not just a pretty face.

And this is and angel from Christian mythology. He was captured during the last Era's End by demons, was tortured in Hell, and has since forgotten his name. He fights to defend the current god's throne.
These are the four characters in Era's End who are fighting for their own personal reasons.

This is a Dragon Knight, a student of St. George and the last of his kind. He fights to gain immortality.

This is Skadi from Norse mythology. The goddess of snow, mountains, skiing and bowhunting, she fights to gain the power to revive her late father.

This is an Incubus, they have appeared in many different mythologies since Mesopotamia. This one fights in Era's End to gain notoriety, and really just for the hell of it.

This is Fenrir/Lupa. She raised Romulus and Remus when they were children. After the fall of Rome Lupa became feral and was later seen in Norse mythology as the wolf giant Fenrir. She fights to regain her lost memories.
These are the four characters in Era's end who are fighting for a malicious cause.

This is the Lamia from Greek mythology. She was once a beautiful queen but was cursed by Hera to become a demon. She fights to kill her sister, the Lady of the Lake.

This is the Erlking from German folklore. He wishes to turn the world into a garden for him and his daughters.

This is Banshee from Irish mythology. She is a messenger of death from the Otherworld. Should Banshee ever win, the world of the afterlife and our world would be combined.

This is Sekhmet, the goddess of destruction from Egyptian mythology. Should Sekhmet ever win the world will be consumed by flames.

Environmental Photo Montage

A photo montage created for an environmental symposium. The idea was for there to be a bridge, in this case both literally and figuratively, between the natural and the man-made.

Ruins Study

Three images created with Illustrator based off of a photograph of an ancient Greek amphitheater. Each one was done in a different style; cartoon, comic book, and realistic.
